چکیده
Abstract In this study we investigate the impact of addition colourless glass particles to red glazes, as seen in many 15th-17th-century easel paintings. With use reconstructions, examined influence paint preparation process on morphological and mechanical properties film. Three sets reconstructions were made, a control without ground glass, with coarse or fine mixed in, where was jointly pigment oil mixture. The latter gave desired consistency colour based visual inspection. dried non-invasively imaged using optical coherence tomography (OCT). A data-analysis pipeline developed for both segmentation OCT images measurement size spatial distributions within glaze layer. Moreover, used nanoindentation protocol measure viscoelastic results show an expected decrease median particle longer grinding-time, which additional grinding pigment/oil resulted more narrow distribution homogenous particles. indicate that increases elastic viscous moduli layers. homogeneous distribution, obtained by oil, pigment, together, induces higher moduli. Our imaging analyses approach, combining nanoindentation, provides non-invasive quantitative investigation (semi-) transparent layers, their effect glaze. contribute better understanding artists’

15 صفحه اولImaging engineered tissues using structural and functional optical coherence tomography.
As the field of tissue engineering evolves, there will be an increasingly important need to visualize and track the complex dynamic changes that occur within three-dimensional constructs. Optical coherence tomography (OCT), as an emerging imaging technology applied to biological materials, offers a number of significant advantages to visualize these changes. Structural OCT has been used to inve...
متن کاملStructural and functional imaging of 3D microfluidic mixers using optical coherence tomography.
To achieve high mixing efficiency in microfluidic devices, complex designs are often required. Microfluidic devices have been evaluated with light and confocal microscopy, but fluid-flow characteristics at different depths are difficult to separate from the en face images produced. By using optical coherence tomography (OCT), an imaging modality capable of imaging 3D microstructures at micromet...
متن کاملefl students gender and socioeconomic status: the use of politeness strategies in the first and second languages
within the components of communicative competence, a special emphasis is put on the “rules of politeness,” specifically the politeness strategies (brown and levinson, 1978) that speakers deploy when performing the request speech act. this is because the degree of imposition that making a request places upon one’s interlocutor(s) has been seen to be influenced by several factors among which, as ...
Comparison of Choroidal Thickness in Psoriasis and Control Groups Using Optical Coherence Tomography
Background and Objective: One of the most common extracutaneous complications in psoriasis patients is ocular complications, which is controversial concerning its effect on choroidal thickness. This study aimed to compare the psoriasis patients with healthy individuals in terms of the thickness of the choroidal layer using the optical coherence tomography technique. Materials and Methods: In t...
